Article Publication Charges

JALS, as an open-access, peer-reviewed research journal, provides free and unrestricted access to all published research articles. However, to cover the costs associated with publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable, which will be invoiced to the submitting author once the manuscript is accepted. There are no submission fees, or article processing charges, ensuring a smooth submission process. Upon acceptance, authors are required to pay an APC of PKR 25,000 for Local or USD 150 for International to facilitate the publication of their research.

 

What Does the Article Processing Charge Cover?

  1. Editorial and Peer Review Services: Covers the cost of manuscript review and evaluation by subject experts.
  2. Online Hosting and Maintenance: Ensures continuous online accessibility of the article on the journal’s website.
  3. Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Assigns a unique DOI for permanent identification and easy citation of the article.
  4. Indexing in Academic Databases: Inclusion in platforms like Google Scholar, EBSCO, and others, enhancing research visibility.
  5. Plagiarism Report: A detailed plagiarism check report for the submitted manuscript.
  6. Online Archiving: Long-term archiving of the article for future accessibility.
  7. Marketing and Promotion: Wider dissemination of the article through various channels for better reach.

 

Fast Track Submission Option:

We understand that some authors require urgent publication of their research due to deadlines or academic commitments. To facilitate this, we offer a Fast Track Submission option, allowing a prioritized review and publication process.

Fast Track Fee: USD 200

 

How to Apply for Fast Track Submission:

While submitting the manuscript via email or through our online system, authors must clearly mention their preference for the Fast Track Submission option.

Refund Policy:

The Article Processing Charges (APC) are non-refundable once a manuscript is accepted for publication. No cancellations or refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

The prime objective of the publication process is to ensure the academic & research quality and thoroughness of the procedure. The review process is an integral part of the publishing process of the scholarly submissions made to the journal through online submission or the journal's email editor@jals.miard.org. All papers submitted to the journal undergo various steps of the rigorous double-blind peer-review process by which the reviewer’s and author’s identity is not disclosed to each other to ensure independent review and avoid any potential conflict of interest.
