Abstract

Currently, women are being positively portrayed by the media in TV advertisements, which might help dismantle socio-cultural stereotypes in their entirety. The present research examines how gender preconceptions are dispelled by the media. This research used multimodal analysis to examine the relationship between women and the media, as well as how the media shapes women's perspectives on gender equality. Furthermore, the underlying narrative of media advertising portraying women is deciphered via the application of color symbolism.
