Interpretation of Sufi Culture in the Light of Kashf al-Mahjub of Syed Ali Hujwari
Abstract
Sufism is the spiritual aspect of life called tasawwuf or mysticism in Islam. It is the way of getting purity of soul and the guidance of religious norms and ethics. Sufism is the way of guidance that leads the man to get the blessings and spiritual relation with Allah Almighty Sufism is the code of conduct of Islamic Shariyah and the Sunnah of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (S.A.W). During the reign of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) muslims directory get education of shariyah from the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). He was the spiritual master of the Muslim Ummah and lead the Muslim towards Allah Almighty. The life and actions (Sunnah) of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) were the practical model for Muslims to follow and applied in their life. It is the only way for Muslim ummah through which they can develop a great spiritual relation with Allah Almighty. The proposed research finds the issues of Sufism and it explained by the great sufi Syed Ali Hajweri who also called Datta Ganj baksh. The sufism developed after Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) when due to the extension of Muslim territories, abundance of wealth and worldly desires among the Muslims, weak the relation of man and Allah, Muslims were lost their spiritual relation with Allah. In this condition a group of people who were the followers of the Sunnah of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and his companions (Sahaba Ikram R.A.) and the persons who strictly followed the roles of Shariyah and maintained the real model of religion Islam became prominent due to their piety and spirituality and were called with the name of Sufis and their mode was given the name of Sufism.
