An Eco critical textual analysis of the talk show "Art with world"

Abstract

“Art with world” is a television talk show conducted by Pakistan Television Corporation, which discusses various issues related to the society and environment. The episode “climate fiction” elucidates the ecological representation of environment in literary texts focusing on the role of climate fiction in representing the problems caused by humans. A number of studies have been conducted on Pakistani novels with respect to ecocriticism but there is inadequate research that analyzes the episode “Art with world” through Ecocritical lens. Therefore, by utilizing Alan McKee qualitative model of textual analysis under the broader umbrella of Ecocriticism  this study aims to analyze the  episode “Art with the world”  through the  Ecocritical dimensions  of  environmental justice, post-colonial ecocriticism and Eco poetics . The findings of this study demonstrates that colonial and anthropocentric ideologies continue to shape contemporary environmental crises, supporting the postcolonial ecocritical perspective.
